Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vello, a personal finance tracking service operated by NKC Labs, Denmark (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using Vello, you agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use Vello. By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• One person may not maintain more than one active account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at a.i.c.dabrowska@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Vello is a personal finance tracking tool. It helps you log income and expenses across multiple currencies, visualise your spending, and understand your financial position. It is intended for personal use only.

Vello is not a financial adviser. Nothing in the service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We do not connect to your bank accounts and we have no access to your actual financial accounts — you enter all data manually. The accuracy of your financial picture depends on the accuracy of the data you enter.

Exchange rates used for currency conversion are provided by a third-party API and are for informational purposes only. They may differ from rates applied by your bank or payment provider.

You agree not to:

• Use Vello for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Vello
• Use the service on behalf of others or as a bureau service without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Vello is currently provided free of charge during a public beta period. During this time, features may change, be added, or be removed. We make no guarantees about uptime, data persistence, or feature availability during the beta.

We will give reasonable notice before ending the free beta and introducing paid plans. Your continued use of the service after any such notice constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

When paid plans are introduced, the following terms will apply:

• Billing: subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase.
• Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access until then.
• Refunds: we offer a full refund if requested within 14 days of the initial purchase. Renewals are non-refundable unless required by applicable consumer law.
• Price changes: we will notify you by email at least 30 days before any price increase. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

You own the data you enter into Vello. We process it solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, share, or use your financial data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to operating Vello.

We aim to keep Vello available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, and will not be liable for any resulting loss or inconvenience.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by Danish law, NKC Labs shall not be liable for:

• Any financial decisions made based on data or reports generated by Vello
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill
• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to Vello shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or €50 if no fees were paid, e.g. during the free beta).

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of Vello shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also refer a dispute to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
